Ronald Rodriguez
Avionics Technician | Carrollton, Georgia, USA
Hands-on avionics technician with documented experience fabricating and installing aircraft avionics wiring, integrating equipment, preparing instrument panels, installing sensors and working directly on autopilot projects in active aircraft maintenance environments.
Available for professional avionics opportunities. Travel or relocation may be considered depending on the opportunity.
FROM THE HANGAR TO THE SKY / DEL HANGAR AL CIELO
Practical Avionics Experience, Supported by Project Evidence
My work focuses on the physical fabrication, installation, routing, connection and verification of aircraft avionics systems using engineer-provided wiring diagrams and project instructions. The PROJECTS page provides photographs and videos that document this work in context.
Core Technical Experience
Aircraft Avionics Wiring and Integration
Wiring Harness Fabrication and Routing
Wire identification and marking, routing through the aircraft, cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering where specified, connector assembly, contact insertion or extraction, securing and equipment connection.
Hands-on fabrication of avionics wiring and cable assemblies from project diagrams, including coaxial cable work, routing and securing within the aircraft.
Instrument Panel and Equipment Installation
Autopilot Electrical Integration
Existing-panel preparation and modification, equipment fitment, connector installation, wiring and progressive panel integration.
Direct installation of avionics wiring, controls, servo connections and aircraft interfaces within documented autopilot upgrade projects.
Electrical Verification
Point-to-point continuity and resistance checks performed with a multimeter, followed by independent review where required by the project.
Removal of Obsolete Avionics
Removal of superseded avionics computers, equipment, unused wiring, connectors and ground blocks defined as no longer required by the project.
Documented Aircraft Experience
DHC-6-300 Twin Otter — Autopilot System Upgrade
Ronald personally removed the previous autopilot wiring, fabricated and routed the new system wiring, installed connectors and related components, performed point-to-point continuity checks, and reinstalled the affected aircraft areas. The work was performed from project documentation within the responsible maintenance and inspection structure.
Mechanical component mounting was performed by company mechanics. Engineering diagrams, system configuration and regulatory inspection or evaluation remained with the responsible engineer and inspectors.
Cessna 172M — Avionics Installation and System Integration
Performed ongoing avionics installation and integration work including existing-panel preparation, equipment installation, aircraft wiring, connectors, coaxial cables, engine-monitoring sensor wiring, autopilot servo connections and electrical verification.
Confirmed equipment: GTN 750, GMA 35c, GNC 255A, GTX 345, two G5 displays, GDU 460, GEA 24, GAD 29, GMU 11, two GSB 15 units, GMC 507 and three GSA 28 servos.
Sensor and probe work: Installation and wiring associated with CHT, EGT, RPM, manifold pressure, oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, fuel flow, tank fuel-level indications and the GTP 59 OAT probe.
Current status: The aircraft project remains in progress. Continuity and resistance checks have been performed; final aircraft testing, configuration, inspection, approval and return-to-service are not claimed.
Avionics Technical Training
Avionics Technician Training Program
Certificate of completion issued through University of Central Florida Continuing Education for the Avionica Avionics Technician Training Program.
72.0 contact hours | 7.2 CEUs | Completed January 10, 2026
This is a training credential and is not presented as an FAA mechanic certificate or A&P license.
Technical Work with Clear Responsibility Boundaries
I perform avionics installation work from engineer-issued wiring diagrams and project instructions, coordinate with engineers and mechanics, verify electrical work point by point and document project activity. Engineering design, configuration, regulatory inspection, approval and return-to-service remain with the appropriately authorized personnel.
Professional and Regulatory Scope
Ronald Rodriguez does not claim an A&P certificate, Inspection Authorization, repair-station authority, approval authority or return-to-service authority. The experience described on this page is technical hands-on avionics work performed within aircraft maintenance projects under the applicable engineering, maintenance and inspection structure.
